The history of the tower

First things first. The Eiffel Tower itself.

It’s not just a symbol of France, but one of the most famous landmarks in the world.

Built by Gustave Eiffel between 1887-1889 and unveiled at the World’s Fair, it marked 100 years since the French Revolution.

At the time, the wrought-iron steel tower was cutting edge, and at a height of 1024 feet, the tallest building in the world. It held this record for 40 years, until the unveiling of the Chrysler Building in New York.

In the 21st century, the Eiffel Tower is the most visited paid monument in the world. And for a Paris apartment, having a tower view adds greatly to its desirability.

Fun fact: did you know there are over 50 replicas of the Eiffel Tower internationally? In this previous blog we take a look at a few of them.

A dream Paris apartment

Owning an apartment with a view of the Eiffel Tower is a dream for many.

And in this two-bed two-bathroom apartment with balconies, you don’t simply have a view. It’s so close, the Eiffel Tower becomes part of the décor!

In our new video, Kerstin Bachmann showcases the home.

It’s set in a gorgeous period building, on a high floor level with an elevator and of course, a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. The turnkey property is perfectly renovated, with air conditioning, and filled with natural light.

The apartment is set in the Champs de Mars area of the 7th arrondissement (district), and just a block away from the Seine.
