This year, you could celebrate Christmas at French Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte.
But this luxurious, unprecedented Christmas holiday offers much more than a glimpse inside the chateau. In fact, it’s a five-night break packed with VIP experiences.
A Christmas like no other
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. And this Christmas, 15 very lucky guests are going to celebrate like it’s 1699. All the opulence and style of King Louis XIV’s era, but with a modern twist.
Organized by La Réserve Hotel and Spa in Paris, the holiday begins on December 20th, with guests checking into a suite at the 5-star hotel.
In the days leading up to Christmas, they will receive the real VIP treatment. According to the Robb Report, this includes a private tour of the Eiffel Tower, a speedboat cruise on the Seine, and an after-hours guided tour of the Louvre.
Set a stone’s throw from the Champs-Elysées and the avenue Montaigne, the hotel is also perfectly located for a touch of indulgent last-minute shopping.
A Unique Christmas at French Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte
Of course this is just a starter before the main event: spending Christmas Eve at the historic Vaux-le-Vicomte. It’s a first for the chateau in its 350-year history.
Built from 1658 to 1661 by close confidante of Louis XIV, Nicolas Fouquet, the chateau inspired the architecture of Versailles. Apparently, the King was so jealous of the estate’s grand luxury, that he jailed Fouquet and immediately instructed Fouquet’s architect to start work on the now famous palace of his own.
In modern times, Vaux-le-Vicomte continues to attract glitterati and celebrities. This includes actress Eva Longoria, who held her wedding reception here in 2007.
But this Christmas, the chateau’s guests will enjoy dinner prepared by double Michelin-starred chef Jérôme Banctel. A carriage ride around the estate’s gardens follows, before finally, a private fireworks display.
La Réserve is now taking bookings for this VIP festive break, although the price is not shown on their website. As the saying goes, if you have to ask how much, you probably can’t afford it.
